PRESS RELEASE: John Hornby Skewes & Co. Ltd., the global distributor of Vintage-branded instruments, is proud to announce the launch of the Vintage Gordon Giltrap Signature acoustic electric guitar.

Considered one of the world’s greatest guitarists, Gordon has been at the forefront of the acoustic guitar since the late 1960s and has released over thirty albums during his four decades in the music business.

Designed in collaboration with respected master luthier Rob Armstrong and Gordon himself, this vintage electro-acoustic style Grand Auditorium / 000 crossover is based on a handcrafted instrument that Rob made in 1980 and Gordon plays today. Featuring a high quality solid North American cedar top, with mahogany back and sides, the iconic “small size” body is complemented by Rob Armstrong’s signature headstock design.

The bridge is made of high quality rosewood, with a progressively compensated natural bone saddle providing excellent intonation, while the mahogany neck comes with a premium rosewood fingerboard, complete with genuine abalone inlays and markers. side points.

Electricity is supplied via a Fishman® Presys Blend preamp and Sonicore mic system, which includes a built-in microphone with mic mix control, notch – feedback control, phase control knob, three-way equalizer bands and volume control, as well as an in-guitar tuner with easy access to the drums.
