Dylan Angry With Bono
Being outspoken isn't always a good thing. Especially when it makes rock
legends and personal heroes angry. The Irish press claims that Bob Dylan
avoided a VIP reception after his recent Dublin concert because of some
comments Bono had made. Apparently, the reason for the snub is due to Bono
revealing parts of a conversation between himself and Dylan at an interview.
Dylan, who collaborated with Bono and U2 on 1988's "Love Rescue Me", is a
private man who wasn't counting on personal stories being repeated in
public. He called Bono's comments "indiscreet remarks".
In addition to being the reason Bob Dylan did not show up at the VIP
reception, Bono also received a good scolding before the Dylan gig that
night.
Fortunately, the incident appears to have blown over and things are patched
up between Bob Dylan and Bono once more. The story has a happy ending and,
hopefully, a lesson in discretion has been learned.
